Description:
A lovely patient who underwent bilateral mastectomy (removal of breast tissue) in a different country, and presented to me with a two year history of absent breast. She felt she had lost her sense of femininity without her breast and asked us for help. We offered her pre-pectoral (on top of the muscle) alloplastic (breast implant) reconstruction with acellular dermal matrix in 2021. She was thrilled with her result, restoring her confidence and mental health.
