Description:

A lovely patient with prior history of breast augmentation with implants and a low BMI with limited donor tissue was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent skin sparing mastectomy for breast cancer, and had subsequent implant based preceptoral (on top of the muscle) implant based reconstruction. While autologous (own tissue) flap reconstruction is the preferred method, not all patients re candidates for various reasons. She had an outcome that closely mirrored her pre-mastectomy appearance.
