How Is a Neck Lift Performed?
During a neck lift, general anesthesia is typically used. An incision is placed around your ears, and another one may also be made under your chin. If isolated areas of fat exist, liposuction will be completed. Next, any sagging or hanging skin will be trimmed away, and the underlying tissue and remaining skin will be pulled tight. This technique is conducted until the desired shape and contour have been attained. Although sutures are placed at the incision area, scarring should not be visible since they were placed under your chin.
